Community
Collingwood Vintage Hockey players are proud members of the local community and generous contributors to a variety of charities whenever possible.
Some of the important causes we support include.

The Royal Canadian Legion is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Canadian veterans, serving members of the armed forces, RCMP personnel, and their families. Founded in 1925, it advocates for veterans’ benefits, provides community programs, and promotes remembrance and public awareness of Canada’s military history. The Legion is widely known for organizing annual Remembrance Day ceremonies and distributing poppies to honour those who served and sacrificed.

The Second Tracks program at Blue Mountain Resort provides a barrier-free introduction to skiing and snowboarding for youth aged 12–16 who may not otherwise access winter sports. In partnership with the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and local sponsors, the program covers equipment, lessons, lift tickets, transportation, and meals at no cost. Through guided weekly sessions, participants build confidence, develop new skills, stay active, and experience inclusive outdoor recreation in a supportive community environment.

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is a community hospital serving the South Georgian Bay region, including Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Clearview Township, and The Blue Mountains. Founded in 1887, it has grown from a small eight-bed facility into a modern healthcare centre providing emergency care, surgery, obstetrics, internal medicine, and specialized outpatient services. The hospital supports more than 74,000 residents and seasonal visitors, focusing on high-quality patient care, collaboration, and continuous expansion to meet the region’s growing healthcare needs.

The Collingwood Face-Off Against Hunger charity is a community hockey fundraising event that brings local players, families, and supporters together to raise money for hunger relief initiatives in the South Georgian Bay region. Organized in support of Home Horizon Youth Transitional Support Program, the event raises funds to address food insecurity and support youth experiencing homelessness. Through friendly competition and community participation, Face-Off Against Hunger promotes teamwork, generosity, and local action to help ensure vulnerable residents have access to food and essential supports.
